When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, it was always two answers. To swim with the whales at Sea World or to work for National Geographic. I haven't quite made it to National Geographic yet, but I have maintained the same love for photography, travel, and science. In highschool I was given my first film SLR pro camera, and shot my first wedding only a few years after. Since then I have spent a decade honing my skills in the arts.
When I'm not photographing events or working on schoolwork, I love spending time at local coffee shops, listening to live music, viewing independant films, and travelling to new places, or trying different cultural cuisines. I'm passionate about our environment, advances in science, embracing diversity, and supporting independent artists.
My style in event photography is the unobtrusive photojournalistic approach with a small mix of posed shots. Often I can capture what seems like a carefully set-up shot without the subject being aware of my presence. I love the suprise that comes from seeing those shots you never knew happened. I currently reside in Winter Park Florida with my little cat, Aesop. I am of course willing to travel.
